"All Paul"![]()

The 2003 season was never really close, as Paul Shindelus ran away with both the records and points title, the former in convincing fashion. With a smashing roster sporting Priest Holmes, who set an NFL record with 29 touchdowns, Jamal Lewis, who broke 2000 yards, and receivers Terrell Owens and Steve Smith, Paul proved to be too difficult a hurdle for the rest of the league to overcome. Paul won the records title on the wings of a 12-game winning streak to finish out the season. His great run of form clinched the records title for him by the end of Week 14. On the other hand, the points title was closely contested. Nick Stolpman held a mighty lead for most of the year behind a team loaded with members of the high-scoring Minnesota Vikings, including Daunte Culpepper and Randy Moss. But late in the year when the Vikings started to fade, so did Nick, and Paul was able to catch him in the last two weeks to take the points title. All ten owners from the 2002 season returned to try their luck again. The league also welcomed newcomer Kevin Clark, who finished 6-11, and welcomed back Tom Bobzin, who did not play in 2002. Tom finished 8-9. The season featured perhaps the most infamous moment in league history when Julius Jaboro, who had both Ricky Williams of the Dolphins (the Pro-Bowler) and Ricky Williams of the Colts (the 4th stringer) on his roster, accidentally started the wrong Ricky Williams. Other highlights included an impressive second-half comeback by Dan Todd, who won the final seven games of the year, and a great turnaround by Jeremie Ginelli, who rebounded from a dismal 2002 season to finish third. |
