WEEK 1 RECAP:
And we're off! It was a very high scoring first week of the season, with all but 9 owners breaking the 100-point barrier and 3 breaking 130. The highest scorer by a hair was big, bad Dan L. The league's resident version of "Ace & Gary, the ambiguously gay duo" rode a great performance by Joe Flacco, and along with high scores from Cedric Benson and Devin Hester, to victory over Kevin and Adrian Peterson and won the first $20 weekly prize of the season. A mere .3 points behind was Paul, who defeated newcomer Chris behind Tony Romo, Thomas Jones, and Tim Hightower. A tough start to his OWS career for Chris, but there's still 16 weeks to go. Jeremie not only threw a great wedding reception this weekend, but his quarterback threw 6 touchdown passes. Drew Brees looks like he may challenge AP as the top dog in fantasy football this season, and that's just fine with Jer, who beat Nick this week. Dan T.'s team turned in an encouraging well-rounded performance in defeating Marc, with only defender Patrick Willis breaking 15 points but with an overall team score of 117+. Mike, last year's cellar-dweller, kicked the new season off right with a win over Tom behind Matt Ryan and fill-in Fred Jackson. And finally, in a clash of two of the best early-season rosters, Eddie, Donovan McNabb, and Reggie Wayne put the boot to Uncle Joe.

THIS WEEK'S MATCHUPS:
Dan T. (Inferno) vs. Jeremie (Shorn Beaver)
Paul (Strictly Business) vs. Marc (Ron Mexico's Shi-Tzu)
Chris (Wyld Stallyons) vs. Mike (Malicious Intent)
Eddie (Armenian Assassins) vs. Tom (SD Spankfest)
Dan L. (Hebrew Hammer) vs. Uncle Joe (Mongrels)
Nick (Purple People Eaters) vs. Kevin (Motor City Madman)

MATCHUP-OF-THE-WEEK:
Nick vs. Kevin. There are many reasons why this matchup of 0-1 teams trumps all the rest. The fact that they're both 0-1 is one of them, as neither want to be the one to go 0-2. The mental image of Nick squirming at the prospect of having to root against his favorite player/man crush Adrian Peterson is another. But most importantly, when these two get together, the trash talk is exquisite. Get ready for a lot of, "Great, I play Richard Simmons' cabana boy"s this week.

LEAGUE NEWS & NOTES:
-We already have our first trade of the season, and surprisingly Marc was not involved. In a move that seemed like a good idea at the time, Paul sent RB Cadillac Williams and WR Donald Driver to Eddie for RB Willie Parker and WR Torry Holt. Then this week's games played out, and now it looks like an early candidate for "bonehead move of the year."
-Fractional points were a big hit and are likely here to stay.

THE “POOP LIST”
No one makes the "poop list" this week. Tom gets a pass for playing the inactive Steve Breaston because, while injured, he did practice all week and was expected to play.
