WEEK 15 RECAP:
Oh the weather outside was frightful in Week 15, leading to lots of low scores and players underperforming in bad conditions. But that's just alright with Paul, who took another big step towards securing the title. Despite getting a big fat "0" from his bread and butter Tony Romo, Paul was still able to secure a win over Dan L. Coming through in style while Romo was trying too hard to impress Jessica Simpson were Clinton Portis and Brian Urlacher. Paul is now two games ahead with two games to go and has significant point leads over the last two remaining challengers, Jeremie and Dan T. And with the Cowboys losing this week, it assures Romo and Jason Witten will start Week 17, so it looks like there's no stopping him now. However, don't tell that to Jer or Dan, as they will both try to stop him, and they both did their part this weekend. It may not have been prettty, but Jer and playoff-bound Matt Hasselbeck got together to send Dennis to another defeat. Dan was more impressive, running away with a victory over Eddie behind Aaron Stecker and Marques Colston. If Eddie's learned one thing this year, it's not to rely on Denver or New England running backs. Not to be forgotten, our weekly winner $20 was Uncle Joe once again. By a slim .5-point margin he outscored Tom for the honor. He can thank "Big Ben" Rothlisberger and Adrian "Purple Jesus" Peterson for that one as they led him to a defeat of Nick. Tom was equally solid in defeating Marc behind LT and Drew Brees. Finally, a once-promising title run for Kevin came to an end as the winds of New England slowed down Tom Brady just enough for newcomer Sean to defeat him. Congrats to Sean, 2-0 in his first two games. And congrats to Kevin on what has been a season.

THIS WEEK'S MATCHUPS:
Dan T. (DanT's Inferno) vs. Paul (Strictly Business). A win and Paul clinches. A win and Dan's one game out with one to go. The biggest game of the week.
Jeremie (Shorn Beavers) vs. Marc (Ivana Green Booger). Marc may be out of it but his team is still damgerous. Jeremie needs a win to stay in the title hunt.
Eddie (Full Hair Jacket) vs. Nick (Vengeance). The matchup of last-place teams. Were it any other year they may be playing for the #1 overall pick.
Kevin (Motor City Madman) vs. Dennis (Sinned 76ers). It was a great run for Kevin and Tom Brady. He looks to close out the season stong starting with a win over lowly Dennis.
Uncle Joe (Mongrels) vs. Sean (Iron Insanity). Sean's taken the league by storm and won his first two games. He matches up against the defending champion in what should be a sensational battle.
Hebrew Hammer (Dan L.) vs. Tom (SanDiego Spankfest). I couldn't think of anything to say so I sold this spot for advertising: "New Crest "Ultra-Whitening" Toothpaste, keeps your pearly-whites shiny and clean!"

LEAGUE NEWS & NOTES:
-Following Week 15 results, Uncle Joe and Kevin have both been mathematically eliminated from contention for the records championship.
-Our good friends at the NFL have scheduled Thursday and Saturday games as they usually do this time of year (if only they would replace Bryant Gumbel as play-by-play man). On Thursday the Pittsburgh Steelers will battle the St. Louis Rams, and on Saturday it will be the Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers. Please keep these early games in mind as you set your lineup.
-The season is winding down and more and more teams are being eliminated from playoff contention. This is the most important time of the year next to the bye week period to pay close attention to your lineup. Please keep an eye out for players who will be rested because their teams are out of it.
-Since the Commish is not likely to write a recap on Christmas morning this is probably the last recap prior to Christmas, so I wish you all a Merry Christmas (except Dan L.) and stay safe.
