WEEK 16 RECAP:
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a possible title race on our hands. Needing only a victory to clinch the records championship, Paul ran into a buzzsaw when Dan T. posted a whopping 150-point score to deny him. Dan, who won the weekly $20 prize, got great scores from Peyton Manning and Anquan Boldin and kept his own title hopes alive. If Paul wants to clinch he will have to wait until Week 17 against old pal Nick. Jeremie also kept his title hopes alive by beating Marc through Adrian Peterson and Braylon Edwards. Jeremie and Dan T. both sit a game back and still in contention heading into the last week of the season. In other action, we had what will hopefully be the last tie in league history as Tom and Dan L. battled it out but could not decide a winner. I bet right now Dan is glad we didn't adopt his "special pizza" method of breaking ties! Uncle Joe kept pace in the points race by handing Sean his first ever defeat with a big game from Ben Rothisberger. Kevin is still fuming about falling short of the title but he can take consolation in knowing he slapped Dennis around behind Tom Brady and Frank Gore. And last but not least, the battle of last-place teams saw Nick finally climb out of the cellar with a defeat of Eddie.

So here's the skinny on the title race: Paul is still in the driver's seat to win the title. If he wins this weekend against Nick he will clinch. If he loses, Dan T. or Jeremie can still catch him, but they must not only win their respective games but must also make up significant point defecits. Jer trails Paul by 62 points, and Dan trails by 84.5. Will be a difficult task but it can be accomplished. In the points race, Paul leads Uncle Joe by 46 and Jeremie by 62. Still a fairly tight race there. We will have all our answers after this week's action.

Nick (Vengeance) vs. Paul (Strictly Business). Paul wins, he clinches. Nick wins, he potentially plays a major spoiler role.
Dan L. (Hebrew Hammer) vs. Jeremie (Shorn Beaver). Jeremie needs to win a score major points if he is to win the title. Against Dan L., at least one is almost certain.
Dan T. (DanT's Inferno) vs. Tom (SanDiego Spankfest). Dan has a tough task ahead of him against a strong foe if he wants to secure the title.
Dennis (Sinned 76ers) vs. Marc (Ivana Green Booger). Anyone got a can of air freshener?
Uncle Joe (Mongrles) vs. Kevin (Motor City Madmen). They almost had it all, but fell just short. Now they look to take their frustrrations out on each other.
Eddie (Full Hairy Jacket) vs. Sean (Iron Insanity). Sean looks to build momentum for what will be his first full season against Eddie, who has been much better than his last-place record.

LEAGUE NEWS & NOTES:
-There is Saturday night action this week with potentially historic implications. The Pats will battle the Giants with a perfect 16-0 record on the line. If you have any players on either team you want to play, please be sure you have them in your lineup on time.
-As is always with the last week of the season, there is no Monday Night Football game. The Sunday night game (Indy/Tennessee) will be the last game of the season. Monday morning there will be a Week 17 recap and within a week or so you will receive the year-end recap by e-mail.
-If anyone has won a weekly prize but not yet received the check, please let me know (with the excpetion of Dan T. for Week 16).
