We're swicthing formats this week. Instead of listing all the matchups and then giving analysis of one "Matchup-of-the-Week," a brief analysis of each matchup will be provided.
THIS WEEK'S MATCHUPS:
Dan T. (DanT's Inferno) vs. Paul (Strictly Business). The points leader vs. the undefeated records leader. Couldn't ask for much more in one game.
Dan L. (Hebrew Hammer) vs. Tom (SanDiego SpankFest). Has pre-season favorite Tom finally turned the corner after last week's tie? Dan has been knocked fromt he ranks of the unbeaten, how will his team react?
Marc (Ivana Green Booger) vs. Jeremie (Shorn Beavers). An intriguing matchup of strong teams with high scorers. Jer just won $20, Marc looks for his first weekly prize.
Eddie (Full Hairy Jacket) vs. Nick (Vengeance). The battle of 0-4's, been a tough year for both despite promising rosters. Someone will get their first win.
Uncle Joe (Mongrels) vs. Mike (Iron Insanity). Both need this game to keep pace with the leaders. Uncle Joe's coming off a big win while Mike's coming off a tough loss. An important game for both.
Dennis (Sinned 76ers) vs. Kevin (Motor City Madman). Kevin his off to a strong start, while Dennis has lost two straight. Can Dennis rebound against his "Neighbor to the North?"
LEAGUE NEWS & NOTES:
-The Commish reiterates his long-standing advice of attempting to check your rosters a few minutes before kickoff if you have guys who are gametime decisions. There seem to be more injuries this year than normal and a lot of teams have suffered because of players being declared inactive shortly before gametime. Nothing you can do about it except keep tabs on the player all the way until kickoff. If you can do that, it would be a big help to your team.
-Two trades involving Marc (who else) were consumated this week. First, Marc sent WR Chris Chambers and RB Brian Leonard to Dan L. for WR Marvin Harrison (an early "most lopsided trade" candidate). Next Marc sent WR Santonio Holmes to Uncle Joe for WR Santana Moss.
-Week 4 byes include Cincinnati, Oakland, Minnesota, and Philadelphia.
-For those of you who wish to provide input, there have been suggestions this week about adding a tiebreaker to the rules and considering switching to a fractional point scoring system. Many have already chimed in with opinions, if you'd like to sound off on these important issues, feel free to use the message board or send the Commish an e-amil.
THE "POOP SHEET"
No one makes the "Poop Sheet" this week. Mike gets a pass for Brian Westbrook and Dennis gets a pass for Javon Walker because both were gametime decisions.
