WEEK 5 RECAP:
With one swift kick in the pants of Dan L., Paul has now vaulted over the pack and into the current "top dog" slot. Paul, who made a risky trade with Dan earlier in the week, got production from all over his roster and put up the highest score of the year by any owner thusfar. Tony Romo, Andre Johnson, Brandon Marshall, and Kellen Winslow led the way as Paul slaughtered poor Dan and won his first $20 prize. He now sits in first place in both the records and points standings. Dan T. was able to keep pace with that 4-1 record, although he surrendered the points lead, after defeating Tom in a tough matchup thanks to--who else--Peyton Manning. Mike had previously been tied for first but fell one game back this week after Eddie and Donovan McNabb rose to the challenge and defeated him. Kevin turned many a head this week with a whopping victory over Marc led by impressive performances from Roddy White, Ben Rohlesberger, and Adrian Peterson. Don't look now but tied for second place is Chris. Despite not getting much production from MJD, Chris got solid scoring from Austin Collie and Ronnie Brown in his victory over Nick in what was a high-scoring and close encounter. And finally, what happened to Uncle Joe this week? Not far removed from two straight $20 prizes, Joe goes out and puts up a stinker against the honeymooning Jeremie, who was led by T.J. Whosyourmomma. We all hope Jeremie's having a good time.

MATCHUP-OF-THE-WEEK Chris vs. Dan T. Say what you want about the decision to draft MJD, but you can't question that Chris is off to a good start in his first season. He's put together an impressive 3-2 record and currently sits in fourth place on point differential (tied for second place). This week he will test himself against defending champion Dan T., in second place with a 4-1 record but without defensive MVP Patrick Willis.

LEAGUE NEWS & NOTES:
-In trade notes, Paul sent RB Thomas Jones and WR Mario Manningham to Dan L. in exchange for RB Cedric Benson and WR Devin Hester.
-This week's byes: Dallas, Indianapolis, Miami, and San Francisco.

THE "POOP LIST"
-No one made the poop list this week. Mike had a couple close calls with Jaguar players but gets a pass for both, by the time it was announced Mike Sims-Walker and Justin Durant would not play it was too late to do anything about it. The Commish recommends that, as a general rule of thumb, when it comes to defensive players, if there's doubt a guy will play, its better to pick up someone else rather than risk it (with the exception of the top guys like Patrick Willis or Jared Allen).
